Mother's Day Voicethread

Kindergarten students in Mrs. Beatty, Ms. Pitman, and Mr. Hummel's classes created images and recorded their voices to share something they love about their Mom's for Mother's Day. They shared their VoiceThread's with their Mom's at the Mother's Day Tea on Friday, May 11th. Click on the link below to view and listen to the Kindergarten students. Enjoy!

Track & Field Day at Haldane
Wed., May 9th

Students at Haldane have started preparing themselves for the annual school track meet that will take place next Wednesday, May 9th. Events begin first thing in the morning and run throughout the day until 2:30. Your child should have a schedule of their events so make sure you come out and support them if you can!

Haldane PAC will have a concession available with a variety of items for sale. Students in grade 4 - 7 will receive a free hot dog.

Come out and cheer on the students as they try to advance to the Zone Track Meet! Hope to see you there!

Haldane's 22nd Annual Earth Day Celebration
Friday, April 20th

Come out on Friday to help the students and staff at Haldane celebrate Earth Day!  We are the #1 Green School in Canada thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Melnychuk, the Green Kids Club, and staff and students at Haldane.

The morning will be kicked off by an assembly with special guests and entertainment by Haldane students.  Classes will then be participating in environmentally friendly activities for the remainder of the day such as tree planting, weeding, storm-drain marking, and building bird houses.

Again this year there will also be a flea market taking place in the First Nations Room open to students and community members.  All proceeds will help the Liberia '77 project restore the photographic history of Liberia.  Check out Liberia '77 and see how a B.C. based group is helping people across the world.
