Freedom to Read Week

Freedom to Read Week is an annual event that encourages Canadians to think about and reaffirm their commitment to intellectual freedom, which is guaranteed them under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

These children's books, and many more, have been challenged in Canada in the last 5 years:

  • Battle Bunny Jon Scieszka
  • Hop on Pop Dr. Seuss
  • If I Ran the Zoo Dr. Seuss
  • It's a Book Lane Smith
